The intercession of Blessed Father Donizetti enabled a boy to get out of his wheelchair and play soccer immediately.

Blessed Father Donizetti, from Tambaú, state of São Paulo/Brazil, was a powerful intercessor with God even during his lifetime, drawing massive crowds to his Masses. Among his supernatural gifts, it was reported that he could levitate, be in two places at once (bilocation), and prophesy about future world events as well as the personal lives of individuals. God performed great miracles through his intercession, leading countless people to convert to Catholicism.

Even Pelé, as a child, attended one of his Masses where the priest prophesied in front of everyone that someone present would become world-famous. Father Donizetti was also responsible for the intercessory healing of Joelmir Beting’s stutter; Beting would later become a renowned journalist working for several national media networks.

One of the most impactful miracles involved a boy named Braguinha (now an elderly man). The boy suffered from a degenerative disease and could no longer walk without orthopedic braces or a wheelchair. He had already lost parts of his leg bones, and doctors at the time had completely given up hope for his recovery.

The day before the miracle, however, the boy received a prophecy from the Holy Spirit through an inner voice, telling him that he would walk the following day inside a church. He told his father, who didn't take the claim very seriously. The next day, while the boy and his father were in Muzambinho, his orthopedic brace broke. His father had no choice but to head toward São Paulo to get a new one, as his son could not walk without it. On the way, the car's radiator overheated, forcing them to pull over.

At that moment, a group of pilgrims on their way to Father Donizetti's parish passed by. Seeing the boy's situation, they told the father that Father Donizetti obtained great miracles from God through his intercession. Braguinha immediately remembered his "vision" from the day before.

They went to the church, which was packed with pilgrims, and brought the boy to the priest. Father Donizetti took him by the arms and placed him on one of the pews. He extended his arms and gave his blessing, saying, "You are healed!" 

Through Father Donizetti's intercession (which always included a plea for the intercession of Our Lady), the boy stood up immediately—completely healed and free of pain. The priest then personally took him to a plaza and played soccer with him. It didn't stop there: Braguinha grew up to become a professional soccer player, winning numerous trophies!

Last year, this miracle was immortalized in a large stained-glass window at the Sanctuary of Father Donizetti in Tambaú. The Catholic Church officially declared him Blessed in 2019, a process in which Braguinha's miracle played a fundamental role.
